Deputy Secretary Li Zhongqi Led a Delegation to Visit Universities in Greece and Finland

From September 15 to 21, 2025, Li Zhongqi, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BTBU Committee, led a delegation to visit the University of Crete (Greece), Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Finland). The visit aimed to expand international cooperation and strengthen educational exchanges with European partners.

 

On September 15 at the University of Crete, Li and Vice President Maria Vamvakaki discussed establishing long-term cooperation mechanisms and renewed a memorandum of understanding. Both sides agreed on joint training, credit recognition, young faculty development, and postdoctoral cooperation, and aligned on launching joint courses and practical projects in environmental science and water resource protection.

 

On September 17 at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, the delegation and host university focused on the talent chain from "technology to market." Both sides signed an MoU and a student exchange agreement, and discussed cultivation of applied talent, the development of young faculty, and commercialization pathways for new technologies in business-related disciplines.

 

On September 18 at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, Li met with President Vesa Saarikoski and signed a cooperation MoU. Discussions centered on joint programs in Food Science and Supply Chain Management, integrated training pathways, and potential international MBA cooperation.

 

On September 19 at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, delegates reviewed progress under the 2023 partnership intent and discussed student exchange programs, industry-integrated education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology transfer. The two universities signed a student exchange agreement and agreed to promote industry–academia–research integration.
